I've done another track on kn7000 recorded through the USB to MP3 format so everyone without a 7k can try it out easily. It's posted at http://www.wtenaykeyboardstudios.com/downloadstuff.html under lord of dance, thanks again to Walt for providing some server space. Play this one LOUD...

I also updated the Manhattan slide show to play on the 7k. You need to download the 7k version to play on 7k and the 6k version to play on 6k.

Lord of Dance. I don't see it there. I see "Lord of the rings" That must be the one you meant? I am downloading it right now. Thanks

Ok, I see now what happened. It is listed on the page as Lord of the rings and when you download it it is titled Lord of dance.

Ah, Ha! page has been fixed now link is Lord of the Dance MP3

(you don't need a 7000 to listen to it)

this is a completely different track to the 6500 Lord of the Dance MP3 track of a few months ago so it gives a little idea of the differences between the sound of the two boards, and maybe the advantages of digital recording through the usb, compared to analogue recording even through a high quality computer soundcard. It used one of the new download styles.

Dear Alec,
Congratulations on another fine arrangement. I approach these comments with some caution, for I don’t want to get into an argument since you know so much more about these matters than I do. I felt that the accompaniment on your recording was rather muddy. At first I thought it might be the REAL PLAYER’s doing, but your previous recording have been crystal clear. So, I listened to the Celtic Dance Composer pattern and found that it lacked the open and live quality that your arrangement called for.

Without getting into too much detail, here are the Composer part changes that I think would make your fine recording spectacular.
Bass Picked E. Bass
AC1 Stereo Ac. Guitar
AC2 Same Concert Grand Piano
AC3 Agogo
AC4 Mellow Ensemble
AC5 no voice
DR1 Live Standard
DR2 Live Rock

In my opinion , Real Player is not the best media player for MP3's. It sounded perfect on Windows Media Player 8.0
