We have been considering doing some video tutorials. Not committing to that idea just yet but should we move forward I thought I would ask what topics folks would like to see covered? We are leaning towards doing a live webinar type event where we go over a topic and have an open question and chat session for folks to join in. Since we currently have an SD40 and an SD90 onsite we would be focused on the SD series O/S and use of that platform. When you comment with topics also add in a time and day of the week that you think would work best. Although these would be live events, as a ticket holder, you could watch in replay should you miss the live version or "re-watch" the session as many times you desire. If it looks like we can get enough folks onboard to cover the expense we just might move forward with the idea.

Great idea Curt. I just got an SD90 which I upgraded from MidJay Pro and SD40. These machines are powerful and we really need detailed video tutorials as the manuals do not do justice for these instruments.

I'd wish the following topics to be covered:
1) Vocal harmony setups to be used with registrations such as creating Voicetron setups especially the Voicetron to arrange setups
2) Linking multiple files (pdf, mp3, txt) with registrations
3) Setups and using Launch Pads

Thanks Jim - For #2 check the other thread I did get it to work. For #3 - (Spoiler Alert) - Watch for something coming up within the next two weeks regarding very BASIC steps of LaunchPad. Thoughts from others on topics they would like to see covered. One option - We start on page 1 of the manual and go from there?

And micro edditing midi patterns and audio loops
Importing your own audio loops for use with styles and launchpad

Converting styles from other brands for use in the sd series would also be a very interesting thing...

I never have understood how the Launch Pad works or how to use it.

Its actually a staight forward concept.
Forget about intro and endings
The launchpad has 6 variations
if you choose to, they can also be an ending or an intro
the strenth is in the interface of realtime switching tracks on and off, and all those little extra additions you need to figure out..

But there definately needs to come some good tutorials om the launchpad.

Not tied to the webinars series we are considering starting up but AJ sent me some raw video footage of basic LaunchPad "stuff." I'm in the process of editing that footage. Watch for AJ to release a few videos in the next week or so.

Assuming we move forward with our webinar series we will add LP to the topic list and show it in great detail.
