I really prefer the module version for portability. I like my MJPro as it is almost perfect for my needs except for some glitches in the voicetron/registration section, text linking and not enough styles. I hope Ketron will address this and have already resolved in the SD40.

Saw today the SD9Pro at the Musikmesse - I was really impressed.
What I saw so far and what I have on information

- The Demo of this new keyboard was very good and it seems that the SW is much more stable than the SW on the Audya when it has been presented on the Musikmesse 2009 - I say only one restart :-)

- In general the keyboard looks nice - not as nice as e.g. the Korg PaX4, but it is not the outside what it is important it is the inside

- The sounds at least as good as on the Audya

- The new Launchpad function is nearly perfect. AJ showed me what you can do with it. The only thing I do not saw and could not be shown was if it is possible to synchronize Styles with the Launchpad tracks - if this would be possible it is perfect and I have not seen something similay on any other keyboards

- The Touchscreen has a higher quality than the SD7 touchscreen and the device itself is much more faster than the SD7. AJ told me, that the CPU has 4 times more power than on the Audya

- To prices I did not get any answer, they told me that the prices will come out in May....

- I also asked when the first devices will be available, answer was Summer this year

Joe

Yes, I saw also the SD40, very compact device. It was also demonstrated, but at that time I was not there.
AJ told me, that the inside of the SD40 is comparable witht the SD7. I have not asked prices and availability for this device, but I guess it will be around the same time as the SD9.
