Please can any Midjay owners here tell me if it displays text files (like my xd9 does) and if it does can these be loaded displayed automatically by calling them the same name as a registration or midi file (like the xd)

Thanks - KF

I'm not an owner, but my friend is, and yes it does that.

Don... Now that you have the SD1, how do you think the Midjay would pair up with it? One one hand, it could be a great combo, but perhaps too much duplication of features?

I think it would be overkill, unless you were doing a lot of MP3s and midifile playing. The Jay does have a more modern file transfer system, but the real-time arranger features are not quite on a par with the SD1. I can't really tell any difference in the sound quality.

You're right. Not only overkill, but very cost inefficient. If you wanna play mp3s, use an mp3 player if you're using the SD1 or any AK.

On the wish list for SD2--aux stereo inputs for connecting laptop or MP3 player. Or am I missing something?

No you're not, the SD1 has no aux inputs. The sequel to the SD1 will hopefuly have that feature. It should also have mic EQ, very important IMO.

I agree! The mic sounds good, but really should have independent e.q. options.

Yes it can display txt files that have the same name as the file. It will do this for Mid, wav and MP3 files. Pretty cool. I am in the process of inserting the lyrics for all my files, right now.
