I just been in contact with my dealer in sweden and they say that you must have the USB to midi off and after that you can update the midjay, I have not try this yet beacause it works real good with my old midi cables, and the USB conection is working good for sending midifiles from the computer to the midjay

Hey!
I've been trying all the combinations, midi off..midiMode1,midimode2...same result. It's not working!
I just downgrade to V4.00, the one it's working 90% ok...
What are exactly mean by "midi cables"..it's a midi interface? what kind, maybe I should buy one.
Thanks,
Vio

The cable I use instead of the USB conected to the midjay is ordinary midi in and out. Midi out on in Midjay and midi in on out keybord, this work perfect, the only time I use the USB on the midjay is when I transfer songs from my computer and this is wirking fine,
I try to upgrade back to 4.0 but there was only e error so I keep on going with 4,2i and wait until the next update

Oh yes!Mine is working perfect like that!
But, when I need to create my midis, I have to route Midjay thru a sequencer, via USB conection in "Mode 1 or 2".That means ,USB port from Midjay become a MIDI interface. That's when the problems starts.But...I start getting used with that ,so, hopefully like you said let's wait for the next OS version.
Thanks for suport, Player!

Hey Hasse
Try again to downgrade...first with v3.00, than to v.4.00.I had the same problem.Copy the OS in the Midjay root, shut it off, than after you start it up..you'll have a screen like.."Found new OS...." just push "enter" and let the machine to do all the mambo-jumbo.You don't have to push anything else, becouse the OS is going to flash-memory anyway!
Also , if want to push, afterwards, those 1,7..something to rewrite the flash-memory, push the buttons long enough till the screen apears.Just push them long...
Hope it helps,
