Hello AJ, I can't find your Email so I post my questions here.I hope you can take some time for me again.
I can't prepare the sample to play two semitones higher.
I sampled four bars with tempo 120. I would like to play this file two semitones higher in a midi file. The midi file tempo is also 120. How do I save the sampled file?
 Under what PITCH (standard, fixed, sync)?
 Do I have to adjust loop and end of the sample?
 Must be midi file played from SD1 or can I prepare it on external sequencer?

I've tried everything. I don't know what I am doing wrong. If I succeed to raise the pitch the tempo changes. Could you please put down the steps to save the sample in the right way?
Thank you very much for your help!

Luka

Under what PITCH (standard, fixed, sync)?
>>>AJ: If you were going to sync this to a style, you would have to use SYNC, but for the midifile (since you sampled with the same tempo in mind and b/c you want to change the pitch) you should use Pitch and assign 2 keys above the key you sampled ... then save.

Do I have to adjust loop and end of the sample?
>>>AJ: Yes. Once you have sampled (default in C3), press C3 to listen to the sample. If the Midisong is in a 4/4 timing, prior to sampling, you will have to set the number of bars to "4".

Must be midi file played from SD1 or can I prepare it on external sequencer?
>>>AJ: You can prepare the midifile either on the SD1 or external sequencer. Just remember to use the note (C3+2 in your case) that the sample resides on in order to activate the sample during playback ... you can also actually use SONG PLAY to modify these changes.
If still having problems, pls. send midifile and wavefile to address I have sent to you.

I've tried everything. I don't know what I am doing wrong. If I succeed to raise the pitch the tempo changes.
>>>AJ: This is correct. The tempo/pitch relationship is valid only for minor tempo/pitch changes. Above a certain rate, a change in one does affect the other (unless when associated with styles).

Could you please put down the steps to save the sample in the right way?
Thank you very much for your help!

Luka

PS: Send me midifile and wavefile in question so I can better understand what you are trying to do. (axa130@hotmail.com) Pls. write :Luka - SD1 Sample help: as subject of your email.

Thanks,

AJ
