I've got a Korg SR Wavestation and one of the latest versions of Cakewalk Pro Audio. The problem is that Cakewalk offers nothing in the way of midi dumping (to my knowledge) so I can't really load/save settings from my Korg. Do you know where I can get a midi dumping tool or if Cakewalk offers any support? Any help would be most appreciated.

Not sure where you can download it but there's a great program called Dumpster made specifically for this use on korgs.

Thanks for the help, man. I found 'Dumpster' after running a search on Altavista.com ...

Thanks again, this will definitely help me out.

ev.cool, it seems a bit strange what you're looking for some midi-dumper working with CPWA meantime. You don't need anything else to do so, Cakewalk does have all that you want: just check out View/Sysex menu. You'll find all the sysex features - receive, send, load, edit etc.

Yeah, but for some reason when I do that on Cakewalk, it doesn't actually download anything.

Well... I've forgotten the site so I'll just e-mail it to you. I'll do that in a second.

After you download with Cakewalk... click on the data in the loaded bank (0-,1,2,whatever it is)....then click the "save to file button" and it will save the data as a sysex file in whatever directory you want on your computer. Calkwalk works! I have downloaded(6) quite a few freeware editors including dumpster. I'm using Calkwalk 9.03, and it is the fastest...most reliable so far. Figured it out on my own.
