Hi folks,
After given some directions by members of this and other forums I will sell my motif es 6 and my midjay. The motif is a wonderful keyboard but time consuming. And the midjay does not sound as good as I expected it should. I like the pa1x very much but this monsterthing is to bulky. (I am using a midi guitar with the keyboard, so the keys are not important, neither the speakers)
I was about buying the psr 3000 as a compromise between ease of use, style- and soundquality. Then I read some posts about the genesys xp. Some rave about its sounds and styles, others are quite reserved about this (dano.2000?). Demos of the xp are not to be found on the net, only the genesys keyboard styles, which did not convince me, but the xp seems to be un upgrade to that soundwise, somebody wrote. A list of styles cannot be found either in the manuals on the net. So I am asking you:
Does the genesys xp rival the korg pa1x or maybe a tyros in terms of sound and styles when you rather want to use it as an easy to use music composition tool for comtemporary music like R&B, Soul, Jazz, Latin?

Anyone who can tell me about it or who knows where to listen to demos as I canīt find this box in the shops? Gem marketing and distribution are very strange, I think.

Best regards

Heinrich

I ruled out Roland, Korg, and Yamaha after hearing the Kreton. There ARE demo samples of the Genesys on the Internet. Forgot where I got them. Just keep putting in different search words in Google until you find them.

Hi

I have a XP but I am a just a hobbiest at best. I've been absent from here because we are in the process of selling our home and will be moving into a condo next week. Some else asked about the styles, I will post a list of them tomorrow time permitting.

Opps I also became a new grand dad and just got back from Florida to see my new Grand daugter. 13 Years in between grand children is way to long.

I will be building a music/ office room in the cellar of the new condo which will take 3 to 5 months so I may post a lot of musical toys for sale.

Our sump pump is running non stop any of you folks in the northeast enjoying flood season.

Can't wait to see the list of XP styles!

Thanks Very Much Jerry! That was a lot of work and I do appreciate it. The list is helpful. I'm looking forward to actually seeing and hearing an XP.
As for grandchildren - it'll happen. 22 months ago I had none, now four little bundles of joy.
Thanks again,
JerryT

Jerry,

Thanks for posting the style list. Greatly appreciated. Did you add the user styles yourself, or did they come from the factory?

Thanks,
Don

Don

The user styles came from the factory, these 128 styles can be fully edited or new styles can ovewrite these. This is where you woulod load all your custom styles. I hope this helps.
