Is there a way to set my final registation (verse) on a song to completely shut off the accompaniment and then be able to turn it on again from a pedal while playing that verse? I can't seem to see a way to do that.

While I am not familiar with the Tyros there are a number of Tyros owners that use the General Arranger Keyboard Forum here on this BBS that may be able to help you out.

Use your Registrations. Save one with ACC ON and another with ACC OFF. You can set a pedal to switch back and forth between the 2 or just use your right hand to switch the registration.
