Hi,

When I am not using my XK-3 as part of the XK System (where I use the Hammond Volume pedal attached to the bass pedal board) I use a Korg XVP-10 . This is a very sturdy pedal and matches up to the XK-3 and XK-1 quite well. There are cheaper pedals out there like ones made out of plastic, but what is the point of saving a bit of money when you will likely have to replace one of the plastic ones after a short time? HERE is a link to Sam Ash just to give you an idea of price.

Something to consider about the Hammond pedal is that it uses a proprietary cable that is permanently attached to the pedal unit. Not good in my opinion because when the cable develops a problem it will be more trouble than simply running down to your local music store to pick up another one. The Korg XVP-10 uses a standard 1/4" TRS cable that can be purchased pretty much anywhere.
