You should have bought the Software Hammond
of Native Instruments called 'B4 Tonewheels' !

This sounds much better than your L100 ever will sound.
Have a look at www.native-instruments.de

Be careful with modifications in the L because of the electron-tube technicue. (Hi voltages !)

I've got NI B4, and it's quite nice. Of course, it'd be difficult to take my mid-tower CPU, 17" monitor, and entire MIDI rack with patch panel from here to the bedroom, much less to a gig. I'm afraid I'm with Dave.

I just hate to see someone get the wind knocked out of their sails when they are exciteds about a new piece of gear. I like the NI stuff too, but it's only a substitute for the real thing, and NOT the way to go for everyone. Organ has an attitude all it's own, and a pc based ANYthing will never give you that feeling of power that you get when you slam down the pedal and pull back on the drawbars, and let a real Hammond screeeeeeeam !
There is room for all the toys, in one place or another, but to squash the excitement of a new aquisition is just not called for. You go - Hammond boy from Avonlea ! Enjoy that monster .... I just hope yopu don't have to move it around like I did in the 70's !

The L100 is no monster, Do not confuse it with the 415 pound B3..I also like the half ounce B4 and the 6 pound laptop to play the software. I think Roel was trying to be helpful not hurtful..

soft machine, i have been playing organs all my life and let me tell you one thing, the L100 is much better than the NI piece of sofware which is for people who want a sound that sounds reasonable. Lets face it anyway, you don't buy an L100 to sound like the B4 anyway, it is a very different instrument

Dr. Oscillator, can you be specific and tell us what you don't like about the B4 "reasonable" sound. I have some Hammond background also and the B4 nails the B3 sound.. I also have a Hammond M100 available..Fran
