The problem is that after a few secconds of recording midi in Cubase VST (with a yamaha PSR-8000) the notes seem to 'hang'. With other words it seems like the sustain pedal is being kept down or the keyes stick down after hitting. I think it's got something to do with 'note-off' midi command but I'm not sure. This only happens after a few secconds. the first few notes are o.k. With an other keyboard (Yamaha PSR-620) there is no problem. Anyone out there who knows what could be the case? Thanks in advance.

It may be that you will need to turn "local off/on". It sounds like the midi buffer may be overloading. Check the settings for local off and see what happens.

This is the same problem I had. Try this: In Cubase click on "Options" - then click "MIDI Setup" - then uncheck the box related to MIDI Thru. I'm sending you an email with an attachment showing how this looks in Cubase.
