Hi, I recently got hold of a Yamaha AN1X and it's fantastic. But the downside is changing from one effect to another as the sound cuts off completely.

I'm keen on finding a synth which doesn't cut from effect to effect, and maybe something that has piano mering to synth effects? If something exists?

Try the Roland Fantom G series. i believe they have the feature you're looking for - no cut-off when switching sounds.
