My name is Bob "Notes" Norton (I use the "Notes" because there are sooooo many Bobs on the 'net). I play Saxophone, flute, wind synthesizer (WX5 controller - VL70m & TX81z modules), guitar, keyboards and drums. I write after-market style and fake disks for Band-in-a Box at Norton Music and sell disks by other authors on my site. I am in a duo with my wife The Sophisticats and we have played on cruise ships, on CBS, NBC, ABC, and MTV television, 5 star hotels, private house parties and just about everything in between. I sequence my own backing tracks using a PC (I also have a Mac, but I like the PC software better) and play them through a half dozen sound modules and samplers. I lurked a bit this morning before registering and I think I can both learn something from the masters and contribute something to the novices. I think I'll keep this promo picture for my duo The Sophisticats forever. It's not that I mind getting old (I want to get much older), it is just that I don't like being reminded of that fact Sounds like I need to visit the arranger forum. Any more tips? Any Wind Synthesizer players here? How about Korg i3 players? (I'd like to find a way to load styles, arrangements, and songs directly from a computer through MIDI instead of loading floppy disks). BTW, is there any way to "log off" or "sign out" of the forum? (It could be close enough to bite me but I can't find it).
