I have a Creative Lab live 1024 sound card. When I'm using soundfonts in cubase and than try to record the midi tracks to audio trac i get click noises. Like each midi note played make a little noise. That is not happening when I recors general midi sounds to audio track. How can I solve that problem? And is there a way to merge or record midi tracks to wave format without recording them to audio track during their playback.

Hi,

I'll have a go at your second question. Can cubase merge midi to wave format without recording them to an audio track? The answer is no. In the case of external midi equipment you will have to playback the midi and record to a track.

With internal midi equipment some soundcards can record this without playing the audio through the audio output, so you don't hear anything - but inside the PC it's still playing back and recording to a track.
