Mostly electronic music. Lots of older Autechre, Boards of Canada and various artists that I've got on mp3s.

I grew up on Iron Maiden though, so they're always there. Got all the albums on CD last year, except for the new singer crap.

oldies->curtis mayfield, gladys knight, manzel and anything funky

newer->st germain, zero7, bent or anything loungy/chilled out..

im probs one of the less 'hardcore' synthesis inclined peeps in here.. i always feel inadequate when I go into the music shop and they start crappin on bout all these IDM bunches who ive never heard of..

I'm currently listening a lot to the early synthesizermusic from 1970-1980 by:
Vangelis, Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream

Uhh well I wasn't around then and my interest in electronic music started about one year ago.. so basicly this is new music for me... and I love it to death already.

You should all check out Boards of Canada. Even you old guys. It's the most beautiful music on this planet. They have a very nostalgic sound, that supposedly brings back memories of growing up in the 70s. For some, I quess.

'Music has the right to children' is a must have CD. 'Geogaddi', their latest full length is impressive too and has alot of funny tracks with hidden messages. They have a distinct sound and often sample old documentaries, mixing that with great melodies. Go to www.music70.com and you'll hear their trademark sound on the site.

Lately I've been listening to a late 80s band called S-Express.

In my opinion they are one of the most under-rated synth bands ever.

Cevin Key !! Legendary Pink Dots,
Tangerine Dream's old experimental stuff (Rubycon and Phaedra era), Depeche Mode, older Ministry, Einsturzende Neubouten, lots of oldschool punk and oldschool industrial music...Too many to name..

Tekminus = U know why this Scots project called themselves "Boards of Canada"

They were huge fans of the National Film Board (of canada) short films

I (coming from the NFB hometown of MONTREAL)
am a very dedicated fan of most of those short stories

experimental at times, but in the end, always human

i grew up on them

Industrial, EBM, new wave, mope rock and classical music from Beethoven on forward into the 20th century.

Specifically I've been listening to Project Pitchfork a lot lately. I'm also going to a Haujobb concert on Sunday.

Hmmm ...Maybe some Mark Snow or some unreleased William Orbit. I've been on other projects lately and a bit distant from the listening front. (off topic> I have some hi resolution actual samples of young lady breath quivers before, during, and after orgasms. LOL about a month's worth to edit for the best of the best. I modulate tone with them via control voltage. Sound wild? yes it does. In short, exploring different avenues at the moment. I call it "triple X enveloping". It is different, you can tell in a way what it is. Thus far, I have fit this enveloping into a composition at the point of bridging musical phrases. I'm working on it.
The enveloping is far too complex to attempt convolving your own initial source electronically along a graphical spectrum.

Did I ever say I am not weird? I think not.

I think the K2000 already has triple X enveloping in one of the formulas.

I can see the patchnames already, Morph: Traci Lords (1-72), Sample & F**k, etc

Have you heard the newest live CD? I've heard good reviews about it but haven't heard it myself.

something about hard rock just shot up my ass and i like it

BTW, american music is far inferior to british music, like neanderthal(american music) compared to astronauts(british music)

LOL -tek well they're actually of Doodle oh er well Dixie is her real name. It is possible to get our friend Annie (her nickname is yummie, ok? I think you get it although in actuality it's them that's getting it.YEAH!) to bury her head in the pillow for some audio source. LOL . . . Nothing wrong with an extra cavity coming by a couple times a week. Oh er vocal cavity of course. Dont think I'd do Tracy, well yes I would. I would first have to find a 5 mil thick rubber though. That lady's possibly got more miles under her belt than the Alaskan pipeline. Oh I just got a great idea.
Structure a key signature bearing snip or phrase of 70's porno music into a sample. It's musically legit too since porn music is a real genre. I suppose that's most likely not too original of an idea.
[Back on topic> Today it was little of Rick Wakeman (Yes). And then (with the balls to admit it) Madonna. It's not the material itself you see, but rather the arrangement and composition of the material. You see Madonna is rich, really rich. Her musical product incorporates the latest advancements in studio savy and techniques since the *THNIC's job is to hire the best of the best when it comes to the technical ends the the whole....ahem....the whole nasty taco.yikes.
I think I've been a bit brash lately. Fuggit.

shucks darn it ^ I've been censored out!Oh Fiddle Fumm. Sorry Nigel. You know these days I don't really think that word is considered a profane racial slur. Most areas of the states it can replace the word "chump", without ethnic regard. Give it another decade to enter the abridged dictionarys.

^ Leaving this ^ mess above ^ to the cyberdust rollover.

Iron Maiden.

Electric Eye. This is so true. I have heard the Feds have the resolution way down to full frame better than 0.1 Meters.
I have an excellent source that says if you hold a car key up to the sky it can be measured accurately enough to make copy of it. I guess that's why the bad guys move around only at night.

Actually it's a recording demonstrating the " Hellertion " . It's a vacuum tube oscillator instrument that used a metal touch plate as a controller . It was made by Peter Lertes and Bruno Helberger , and the recording has Bruno demonstrating it . It's one of the first electronic intstruments with a touch plate controller . I also have some recordings of Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry . I am about to get some recordings of Japanese artists doing early Tape music from the late 40s and early 50s .
