Help.
I picked up a used DX 7 (first generation) and it had some envelopes and attack rates programmed on there that I can't seem to get rid of. The xeroxed manual just confused me. I'm using it as my controller, and the envelopes and attack rates are triggering unwanted effects on my slaves. Anyone have any info on how to reset the DX 7 to factory specs?
Much obliged!

Thanx a million.
Now I gotta figure out how to get the commands from my computer to the DX7 (UniSyn maybe?)

I don't think Unisyn will handle a raw sysex file. I may be wrong but I think it uses a propietary file format to store sysex. Most MIDI sequencers can transmit and receive sysex files. If not there are some freeware sysex utilities that will. Once you have sent it to your DX7 then you can use Unisyn to receive and store the data for next time you need it.
