No, yamaha is not planning releasing a motif rack because the only company who sells enough rack synth is roland, the other companies have problems selling rack synth... that is the only reason..

Yamaha rack samplers are very popular, and Korg has had great success with module sales as well. There are Triton racks everywhere I look.
I'm sure Roland has NO influence on Yamaha when planning marketing stategy.
Hey Xenox, how do you know that there is no Motif rack planned? Do you have an inside track to Yamaha?

Yes, I talked some month ago to a german Dude from Yamaha who was responsible for the Motif sounds! Atleast for some of them... Did you know that the most sounds of the motif were dun in germany by Yamaha Europe german division!

First of all the rack is not planned, they want to see how good the Motif will be selled... Let's see. Buy enough Motif synth and maybe they will release a rack version! I would like to see it! But I am not sure if i wanna buy one...!
