Hi There

These instructions are for PC-based Cubase only

1) test midi cable - swap in to out and check that Cubase is seeing the midi signal in - the red led light on the transport bar.

2)Test output by simply drawing a part and drawing a few random notes in that part - say Channel 1 (green light should be flashing). Also confirm that the Cubase Output channel is routed to the correct Midi out device.

3) if both cables are working OK the next problem is either the keyboard or the Cubase midi drivers (which you will find in Device manager) and also in MME setup. Confirm that the driver is working correctly and that the MME setup includes the Midi output you have sellected in the arrange window.

4) Check that Midi is enabled in the 225

Hope this is enough to be going on with.

Well I got the output working ok.
With regards to the cables, I only have one going from the midi out on the225 to the usb (I think) on my pc.
It is difficult for me to tell whether this cable is ok.
how do I know which midi output/input to select, there seems to be loads(forgive me i am new to this),which is the correct driver and what is MME setup?
sorry, and thanks.
