The local music stores only sell low quality ones. Yes, it can do everything and it can be adjusted but:

1) It breaks easily

2) knobs are not tight enough.

3) It takes too long to be adjusted.

4) it is not balanced.

I need something good, professional, easy to use, configurable, enduring, and of excellent quality.

Any recommendation is strongly appreciated.

The music stands I have are "on-stage"

Does anybody have an experience with Atlas?

Hey SK880user! I might have a suggestion, hopefully I can be of some help.

You probably already know this, but when I received all the accessories for the PSR740, I also received a heavy-duty microphone stand made by ULTRA!

Obviously, I do not have that much experience with musical equipment, but, the microphone stand that I received is awesome...it has tripod legs, with an 'arm' that can be easily adjusted over the keyboard so that the keyboardist can actually play and sing at the same time. Plus, it can also be adjusted to be used as an on stage microphone that stands straight up!

You can check it out at Music123.com - it is a closeout item, so if you want to buy it, you'd better buy it now! It is called the Ultra 6526 (Closeout) Chrome.

Click on the following link to see a picture and to read information regarding the stand:
http://music123.com/Item/Item.asp?po=U6526&uid=81D4DF7E3DB04B9A8B05F70074944DC0

Hopefully I helped! The stand is very nice - and it shoudn't tip over easy, only if someone is being irresponsible with it. Also, from my opinion, is can be easily adjusted and it is heavy-duty, solid metal! I am so thankful for the accessories that the contributors got us, it is so awesome!

See you around SK and let me know what you think about it,
Ryan
