I've discovered that I can browse in ANY style part from ANY style into ANY style section right onboard my PSR S770! Listening live to the results as I do it. No measure length, beat or time signature differences or any other issues. Everything fits and works on the fly. I can even browse intro or endings or fills or breaks into ordinary style sections.

On top of this I use voices from my expansion memory. If the octave is wrong, I change it direct on the voice and save the results as a new voice which I then use in the style. This is the most awesome feature next to Ketron's style modelling.

I am busy creating the most FANTASTIC styles for my Yamaha!!! My Yamaha just became MUCH more alive. Soon it will be just as much souped up as my Audya is.

Henni, you will also find that you can tune every aspect of the drums as well, which is something new as well.

All the best,

As you know I am seriously into style modelling with good results on the Audya. Never did anything as serious on the Yamaha as yet.

Because of the weight difference, I am focussing more on my portable Yamaha for now. I only now discover these things for myself. I have created a few really magnificant new styles already and will post some demos as soon as I have enough internet data again (life is a bitch for the moment).

So for me this is as yet unchartered teritory on my Yamaha and I am AMAZED at the ease with which this could be done.

Donny, there has been some discussion lately on the PSR Tutorial site about this.

Yup, you are right. This is what got me started. If others are doing this in earnest, I have not come up against any new styles uploaded by them anywhere and I look EVERYWHERE for styles as this is one of my passions.

I don't remember exactly where the discussion is, Donny, but I am sure Henni can lead you in the right direction.

This is a feature I am looking forward to delving into more deeply in the near future on my 970 . . . I know I have only scratched the surface when it comes to adapting and tweaking styles!
Very Nice!

Hi Henny
Please bring me up to date. I have a s970 and your styles sound punchier than factory. I would like to know what I need to do to have some of yours. Is it a matter of expanding my s970 and buying from you?

Henni how did you find the transition of the much lighter keybed on the S770
coming from the Audya?

Hi Bernie,

They would sound better as I've customized them. I've changed many things on those styles.

Maybe I'll give commercial styles another go, but this was certainly not my intention when I created these. They arose out of my own need.

Dnj,

Yes, I certainly miss the much better Audya keybed. Also, I find it much harder to syncronize my chord changes on the lighter bed. However, I have now once again reached the stage where my modified Yamaha WOWS me more than my Audya. Hence my new flow of modified styles. In any case, it is much easier to transport which is becoming a real factor for me.

Cheers all,

Henni

Quite an accomplishment, Henni. I know how much work this takes and you have produced some incredible sounds with your dedication and hard work. I'm looking forward to trying some of these on my S-950.

All the best,

Gary

Hi all,

I've now had quite a few requests for these styles as they are really good, even if I have to say so myself.

Today I decided to make them available commercially. (Because they use voices from my modified pack, I wasn't sure how I was going to handle it. However, this morning I came up with an acceptable solution)

I am retired without any income whatsoever, hence the time on hand to create these. This just might be be a worthwhile hobby for me as I will create/optimize many more. I will keep the price low so that all can afford.

I posted the following in the boxnet folder that host these demos:

How to purchase

I will soon continue these demos on the Yamaha forum at Synthzone and not over here. When I do, I'll post a final link to it over here for those who want to follow this.

Cheers,

Henni

Updated at the bottom - there are now too many styles for the previous naming convention.

My new "office" lately...

Yeah, I know! We all get older and Monica insisted it was time to loose the hair that was left. She gets more beautiful by the day and I get - - - older.

Hi everyone,

I've equalized the volume levels on all the style demos. Now I can listen to these in a playlist without touching the volume settings.

Keep well my friends,

Henni

Hi Randy,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I received the following today from a Tyros 5 user:

I am busy upgrading some of the styles - I'll post demos of the new versions over here. The old versions will remain in the main list above for now for comparison. If you've purchased any of these, rest assured that I will email the new versions to you as & when I create them.

Hi all,

I decided again to make my newest styles available commercially.

I am retired without any income whatsoever, hence the time on hand to create these. This just might be be a worthwhile hobby for me as I will create/optimize a great many more. I will keep the price very low so that all can afford.

I posted the following in the boxnet folder that host these demos:

How to purchase

In future:

1. _Std = Standard onboard voices
2. _Pck = Pack voices

I will slowly convert all styles using Pack voices to use standard on-board voices. As I create these, I'll make new demos and post over here. Then you can decide whether you want to install the Pack or not. If you order any styes with pack voices, I'll provide you with the link request to download my modified pack.

Hi all,

ALL styles in this list use Revo drums. The list a little further up still stands for non Revo drum styles. However, almost all my styles from now on will use Revo drums as this makes for a huge improvement and I love the results.

Thus, if you want any of the styles listed at the bottom, the following apply: (Only if you do not have a Genos - in this case I'll change the styles to use your on-board Revo drums before shipping to you. As soon as either MixMaster or StyleMagicYA is updated to include the SX900, I will do same for this arranger)

1. Send an email to keyboardtipsmx@gmail.com
2. Request to purchase their "SX ESSENTIAL" pack which is a reduced version @ 30USD only.
3. As soon as you receive your pack, contact me buildtofly@yahoo.com
4. I used half of their Revo drums and added some freeware choir voices to it.
5. When you have your new pack, mail me proof of payment to them.
6. I'll then upload my pack (voices only) somewhere for you to download.
7. Style prices still same - 3USD per style. No charge for the modified pack bar you've got a legal copy of the original from the owners in Mexico.

Okay, now for the fun part - all the new Revo styles are listed below - if any name is the same as in the previous list, it means that the style has been vastly improved. All demos recorded direct on my PSR S770.

031Alabama

018OsloCountry

145AmazingGospel

146GospelBallad

147GospelBrothers

029Slowgenosrock

030Cururu

035Summer8BtRock

037BritRockPop

039Slow Waltz

040SingerSongwriter

Note: I have updated all 144 non Revo Drums styles to use only voices from this pack. If you purchased any styles previously and now want any of these new styles, I'll send you the updated versions of the styles purchased previously so that you no longer require the initial pack downloaded.

Rest assured that you will not loose anything in the process, but rather gain much improved versions of your styles.

Keep well all my friends,

Henni
