Has Yamaha hinted at what this update might entail?

The most negative thing I hear in pro circles is that the
Genos is too large for every day gigging & transport..

Its a software update to the current model..

So this is not the topic to bring up facts that are not going to change..

Keep also in mind that whilethe Genos isn’t small, its surprisingly light for its size..

"real pros" have steady bookings (longer duration then one nighters) or if a "real pro" has one nighters they can afford roadies. smile

Genos weight(28lbs 11 ounces) isn't even close to being a factor!!

Fran
I don't know what level you are talking about when you say "real pros" I haven't seen a solo or band with the exception of one for a very short time do back to back gigs in the same place. Its like owners feel its against all the rules of business to do it. Then again I haven't seen any "real pros" using arrangers. I know of Uncle Dave and Don but they are very rare exceptions. One friend of mine uses a Yamaha for drums, thats it. He plays LH bass and RH piano. His wife kills it on the Keytar, another misunderstood unpopular instrument, and they both sing pretty well.
