I have two Maui 5s. Actually I have four Maui 5s, but haven't used them all together.
I normally run left and right outputs into two channels on a stereo mixer, and from there, one channel goes to one speaker, the other goes to the other speaker.
I do almost all e.q. from the keyboard, but the mixer and the Maui allows for tweaking to compensate for different venues.
If I had the 11s I'd do it the same way.

Similar to Don with original 11's. Master E.q. From keyboard, flat on mixer channels, some effects from mixer (reverb).

So you bypass the mains on the mixer in order to tweak your speakers to your liking, also adjusting the speaker volume from your channels...Are you panning one left and one right? sending Mono from your speakers to mixer channels...Thanks Harold

I go from the left and right outputs of the keyboard into two separate channels on the mixer. Then from the left and right main outputs of the mixer to the two speakers. Left to one speaker, right to the other. No need to pan.
I generally leave the speaker e.q. and volumes set the same all the time. Volume levels can be controlled by the keyboard and/or the mixer.
On some occasions, I just run directly out from the keyboard left and right into the two speakers, not using a mixer. I would always do this except a need the mixer for guest mics, MP3 play on breaks, recording outputs, etc.

On speakers, sub level is set to half, volume just above half. Those are only controls on original Maui 11's. Keyboard into separate mono channels on mixer one panned left, one right (stereo channels occupied by other equipment). Main l+r outs from mixer to speakers respectively. I also have 2 sub outs from keyboard, I use one for mic(1) and one for bass+ left for additional effect and quick control.

Panning is subjective..if you use separate mono channels and don't do it, you're combining the l+r into each output channel equally so there's no true stereo separation. I pan l+r as exampled in previous pic in smaller venues where I use the Mauis. But in a large venue, like 2 outdoor tents I've played at, I don't pan.I don't want an instrument produced on one side heard by people in only one tent when left speaker is feeding one and right another or placed in another direction. Depends on distance and configuration needed to spread all the music.

Sparky...Sounds like you get good results on outside events with your Maui 11's... I'll be doing a Event April 6 in a Church Multipurpose room... About 60 feet wide 90 feet long...It's set up with the small stage in the middle of the long wall sending sound across the 60' distance...Floor carpet and walls app 8' high carpet...It has a pitched ceiling long length ways... with some sound baffles installed...it can seat 200 people easily...Purchased the Maui 11G2's from Frank at Audioworks CT...Thank both and Don for Your Helpful Information
