I have a friend asked me what speakers to use instead of headphones in a small bedroom/studio situation when playing an arranger or synth keybooardin stereo to get a nice robust sound?...he says his studio monitors are too natural sounding/naked sounding as they should be for mixing. These have to be quality built and can handle the full sound without distortion at higher volume levels, he expressly requested NO LOGITEC models of any kind due to sub standard sound and quality, price is not a factor.......What are most of you people using these days for home stereo KB speakers thanx?

Logitech has a great 25 watt stereo system that would easily fit the bill.

Old school but my two Roland CM30's sound good to me with my BK9. Have them on studio stands and of course run in stereo. They handle everything. I also play CD's thru them and I know its not audiophile quality but as I said I'm happy.

A 2.1 system by LD-Systems. $179 shipped, still sold for $600 in Europe. You need Speakon to Speakon cables for this. LD Systems Dave 8XS

From online tests, these are asumed the best sub €700 studio monitors..

Its a new Brand, designed and owned by a US company..
So far nothing but possitive reviews

Thanx for all the replies but as I stated in the OP studio monitors are too natural sounding more to use for mixing, etc, then for full fidelity in this situation. Lots of good choices I will pass them on to him.
