Shrink wrapping a sailboat is extremely expensive, ranging $3,000 to $4,500 for a boat my size (33-feet). I made some supports from 1/2-inch PVC pipe and covered them with a tarp. The tarp only costs $25 and the pipe is good for a decade or more.
This has been a relatively mile winter, but our worst snows usually come in February and early March. The boat is scheduled to go back in the water in mid April.
