My Korg Pa4x was just sold to a friendly SynthZoner. I have sold 85% of my stuff here on SynthZone.
That’s another reason for thanking Nigel for SynthZone.

My next step:
The end of January I will be a proud owner of a Technics Kn7000 -- bought from a SynthZoner. I was not sure if it was a good idea, but after listening to my old recordings I had to buy it for old time sake.

This guy is a happy camper. John C.

I am happy for you John. I too sometimes miss my Kn7000. It wasn't until I got my Pa4x that I stopped regretting the sale. I remember the old FL Technics jams when you and Jim would give some really deep seminars on the old girl. For you, especially, I can see why you want to re-bond with an old friend.

Best to you
Bernie

Bernie, thank you for remembering those good old days. It was never just the keyboard that made it great, but comradery, the positive attitude, the loving every part of it.

Bernie, you were so much a part of it that I’m coming over for a cup of coffee.
Take care my fried, John C.

Selling stuff on synthzone is more a US thing
I don’t think many EU users sell a lot of stuff onhere..

Hope you made a good price..
My pa4x is being picked up this afternoon.
Means i am arrangerless till i order my Genos..

Wonderful John C. Years ago at My former Church We Installed a Technics PS-250 Assemble 88 note Piano...It was way ahead of the others...Complete Volume sliders on the left side to use with the arranger functions...So nice playing Live...Great Speaker system built in, We went into the House System also in Stereo...Great Piano Action Too. My Friend purchased a KN-2000 Arranger Keyboard...It Also was Ahead of the others...Great sequencer and Sounds. I was Involved in Music and Sound at the Time...Good Memories...I just Wonder what Technics would be offering today if still in Business?...Make Some good Music My Friend...Harold S.

Those were fun days on the technics forum ... much like here, only more centered solely around the technics line, especially the KN series ...
I believe technics was absolutely THE leader of the the field in those days, and would be today as well, but probably with a price tag to match ... keys

John, Congrats on the sale of your Pa4x and also on your new purchase! I wasn’t around arrangers of the forum for the Technics days but from what I’ve heard from TonyMads my Rhode Island neighbor and talk here it was one great keyboard. Have fun John!

Bachus welcome into the Genos camp.

Without getting deeply into it put more emphasis on a person's talents playing and singing, etc, versus what is the best keyboard, ...... let's face it they basically can all mostly do the same things and sound great if you know how,.. that you as a player have the advantage as a musician to make it sound amazing,... but, most think it's the keyboard that can do all the work for you... not true. Just look in the mirror and say to yourself do I really need this?.. and what the hell am I doing with all of this stuff?

So true. I met a older gentleman, who my wife tells was a well know rock star in Mexico from the 50’s-60’s. Anyways when I heard him perform at a little restaurant in Mexico City he was playing on an older entry level Yamaha arranger. But this guy could play and sing his ass off! Boleros, Cumbias, rock n roll, Great American Song Book standards. It didn’t matter that he was playing on an old entry-level keyboard or that he had a substandard PA system. His talent and skills were at such a high level, that you didn’t even notice the shortcomings of his equipment. Every time since meeting him, and I’m lusting over a new piece of gear, I think of this man. Of course we all have noticed this with both you and Don M. You guys have posted material using all sorts of different keyboards, and you know what? They all sound great behind your skillful hands and superd voices!
