A little different from the usual 'dog poop' posters.

Yea I have 2 dogs and nothing gets me more upset than the lazy owner’s who don’t pick up after their dogs poop. I had a neighbor who let his dogs loose, a couple of times they hit my lawn. YUP I picked it up with a shovel and threw it in his driveway a couple of times. Since then it never happened again.

Funny sign wave never saw that coming after I read the title of the post.

Lots of my neighbors walk their dogs. Seems like they don't think a thing about letting them pee or poop on my mailbox.
A while back I happened to be in the yard and a guy just held the leash while his dog did his thing on my mailbox. I yelled to my grandson J.J. "Be really careful where you stand when you get the mail, this guy just let his dog shit in front of the mailbox!"
The guy didn't even look up or say a word. But I haven't seen him do it again. smile
We do have a dog, but we don't let them do that. There is lots of open land for him to use.

When we had a dog, she never left our property, though she was allowed to run loose. I really didn't worry about where she pooped, because when you live in the middle of 5.5 acres, dog poop is the least amount of poop on the lawn. Every night we have a dozen or more deer on the lawn, all of which poop a lot. We also have raccoons, opossum, squirrel, and wild turkeys spending time on the lawn. They all poop! Consequently, I mow the lawn with a tractor. The critters, including the dog, and cats, never, to my knowledge pooped in my gardens and flower beds. Might be a good reason for this, though.

This 7 foot black snake inhabited my pond garden for several years. He is swallowing a full-grown cotton-tail rabbit just a few feet from my deck.

Oh man this is a sore subject for me. I've had a little Pom and been spoon-feeding him for about 13 years now. We've always had cats growing up but never a dog so I never understood the thing about dogs until I got little Chico. He's basically my child...literally! With age came tracheal collapse and that snowballed into a number of issues, so the Vet gets to see me a lot. It's a pretty depressing situation. Even though I'm from a war zone and have had my share of pretty hardcore stuff, I don't seem to be able to handle this. One thing for sure, I'll never ever get a dog again.

Dave, it took that snake about 20 minutes to swallow that rabbit entirely. I was amazed!

In Holland there is a law, that dog owners need to pick up their dogs poo...
Sadly, laws in Holland don't mean people live up to them...
There is dog Poo everywhere not just on lawns but also on footpaths and bikepaths
Nobody seems to care

In Amsterdam the Mayor even announces that certain national laws dont count in Amsterdam (which is out of her jurisdiction)
Now if politicians openly refuse to abide the law, how can you expect normal citizens to do so?

Call me strange, but i try to live up to the laws..
Because witouth them our world would turn into chaos..
And when walking our little Maltipoo, i always carry little plastic bags to clean up the dogshit.
Unless we are in the woods, which changes things.

My dogs and our neighbor’s dog have an agreement.

The neighbors dog poops in our backyard and our dogs poop in his. Nobody pays much attention as we live in the country. Everyone has at least an acre of land for the dogs to roam free in.

Sort of a look at our backyard.

Things i suppose change when you move to the city..
There are more rules for man as well as for dogs..

Where i am all for cleaning up after my dog,
I really dislike the fact that i can not take him anywhere..
Because allmost everywhere are no,dogs allowed signs.
Which is a pitty as the little rascall is part of our fammily.

Here in Rhode Island more and more restaurants are creating designated areas for people to sit in with their dogs ...
I like dogs - the greatest pet I ever had was a Golden Retriever - but I don't need one sitting at the table with me when I'm eating ...

To each their own..

But more and more people see their dogs as part of their fammily..
If possible i take him wih us when we go out..
Espescially when we go away a whole day, which often happens in the weekends..

And offcourse he is my biggest fan, he doesnt mind listening to my music..

Oh no, sleeping in our bed is not an option here..
Also he does not eat at our table, but awaits his food under the table, in general till we are done eating. I just dont like to leave him at home for longer periods of time..

But as a smaller dog, he is very well behaved and trained.

As a Rhode Island resident I agree, don't need one sitting at the table.

Thanks Steve,

Just trying to add a little humor to brighten someone's day.
Now I'm gonna go out, and help old ladies cross the street, and bring in all the neighbor's trash cans. grin

Regards.

Jerry
