Can anybody explain what this feature is and how it works. I understand that you can hum a note through a microphone and the keyboard plays it?

.... I think that's it Ron .. it sounds like a brass horn, so in effect you could 'vocalize' a horn solo ?!? .... I tried it very early on ( along with the 'vocalizer' and didn't find either of them to be of much real use...... perhaps others here will have different opinions...

the only use I ever found for it was recording the result for a wave to midi conversion where you wanted a quick melody line print out if having no music. It was slightly more reliable then simply singing into the microphone.

Afraid it was one of the KNxxxx's less desireable features. I persevered with it for quite a long time, when I first got my KN6000 but never got any satisfactory results. Bit of a let-down, as is the Harmoniser.
You could always use it to annoy the neighbours
