My wife and I had a really great weekend celebrating our 23 year wedding anniversary which happened to coincide with our gig at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. They treat us pretty well for the two night engagement with a nice room and other amenities. We both feel very fortunate to be able to do what we love together and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together!

Here's a video of us performing at the casino recorded on a cell.... Enjoy!

A great act and tribute to your marriage together, very refreshing.

If I married every female singer I worked with, I'd have about the same amount of exes that I do now! LOL
(didn't do the girl up front thing too often, back in the day)

Paul, Sounds great, man!

Paul first off Congratulations on your Anniversary and the chance to play the Casinos gig together is a blessing for sure sounds really great! That said this performance really opened my eyes in real time listening to the sounds of the Ketron vs the Yamaha .....
Wow what a big difference!!!!. The Audya sounds so LIVE and Powerful vs the Yamaha you can really can tell the difference when you switch to play the solo on the Yamaha @1:53 in the video which sounds pale & weak in comparison, that's the power of Ketron for sure especially in Latin music..this is why I am seriously considering going back again to KETRON. Honestly no other arranger KB on the market sounds as live as that for sure.
You & your lovely wife look spectacular on stage her singing and command of the stage is simply amazing!!...
I wish you both many many more years of joy and musical happiness together ....
Thank you for sharing. clap

First of all, congratulatins with the wedding anniversary!

Honest.
When the video started, my legs began to follow the beat like it use to do when I hear happy and good music.
But, when my eyes catched the video, I notice that it looks like the band may be a kind of bored.
Hardly a smile to see, lots of buttonpressing, and I miss something that indicates that you have good contact with the guests and those on the dance floor.
Sorry if I seem a little twisted and too critical. My point of view is that the performers behavior is also a big part of the performance as well as the music itself.
Just my 0,0002$, and please, this is only meant as constructive criticism.

Thank you Donny, Bernie, Dave, Jonny, Russ, and Ted.

Donny, yes Yamaha and Ketron do sound very different but I do enjoy both. Maybe it seems like overkill bringing out both boards but it works well for me. Also so keep in mind your comparing an mid level keyboard with a top of the line....

No offense taken Jonny, I actually thought the same thing and was thinking someone would call me out on that. But yeah all the button pushing is the way I pull up sounds, adjust levels, bring up the next registration for the next song. I'm a pretty serious guy, and I'm actually very happy and engaged with the music but it doesn't always show.... But I'll work on it!

Since watching the videos we made this weekend we are making a few changes especially how we set up and position ourselves on stage. I got rid of the silly music rest on the Yamaha and will set my ipad on a mic stand. The music rest rest/ipad was blocking my face, so now maybe I'll have to smile more smile

Congrats montunoman! I'm thinking maybe a foot pedal such as the FCB1010 would free up your hands a bit, though it would be one more gear to carry.

Sometime ago, you posted a playlist of songs. I've been messing around with Latin influenced styles a bit, so your list was very useful. Thanks!

Thanks Sam. You’re right about the pedal. I played on Don Masons set up onece and his pedal can control fill, variation, VH, and sorts of other stuff too. I’m just used to using my hands and actually some people say they enjoy watching how I control the keyboard. But maybe eye contact and a smiling face trumps controlling the keyboard .

Glad you liked the list. Ours is always growing. So many tunes so little time smile
