That's a nice-sounding keyboard. It's not a Pa4x, but........"that's a nice-sounding keyboard." I like the styles....much improved and more useful.

Tony does great "down-to-earth" demos. He must play with a band also because he does the blues song at 06:40 in the key of E...a popular guitar key. And......the next song (Somethin' Stupid"...perfect for that style. And...at 08:55 I'm wonding if you speed up that style, would it work with For Once In My Life (Stevie Wonder)?

Can anyone tell me the major features "missing" on the 1000 compared to the 4x? I like the idea of onboard speakers.

there is just over 1 grand difference in price paid in Holland

Sadly the Korg forum is down... but from my head...

- Build quallity, pa4x is full metal
- 9 sliders
- more direct access buttons, for controlling styles
- 1.2 vs 5.3 GB of build in sounds
- more memory for user samples
- 76 keys option
- aftertouch
- DSP, PA4x has more DSP power
- dual audio player

PA1000 DOES HAVE AFTERTOUCH AND DUAL PLAYERS. At least read the spec. sheets A super keyboard.

My thoughts.
The Pa4x is Korg’s flagship model. The Pa1000 has many of the Pa4x features.

If dollars are a problem the Pa1000 is the choice. If not, buy the Pa4x it leaves little room for regrets.
The only two (important to me) differences I see is internal speakers and the weight of the keyboard.

I guess the better question should be is what do I want in a keyboard. I bought every model of Technics from the Kn2000 to the Kn7000 by fate in the product. I have owned the Pa800, Pa900, and now the Pa4x. All my decisions were made by reading what was posted here on Synthzone, and YouTube – and fate in the Korg product. Is it the best keyboard out there? No, because the question is wrong. It should be – Is this the best keyboard for me?

Opps, on my soapbox again.
