I'm pretty sure I've posted some of these before, but the top ones are new. This will be convenient for those who may have missed them earlier in the year.
Well if you feel that way....I will start a new topic no problem... the reason I posted it was just that they are trying so hard to sell genos units & was wondering how sales were doing..
A pure style video (hiccups and all) gives one a much better idea of how the keyboard will actually sound than those slick factory sequenced demos. Even the built in demos on an entry level keyboard sound really good. Good luck trying to sound like that using auto accompaniment though....
During my early morning walk I watched about 45 minuets of the oldies demo. I have to say Yamaha has done a very good job with capturing that old school drum sound. Very live and organic feel too.
Before DNJ chimes in and asks when I'm going I'm getting a Genos, I have to say "probably never". Bottom line it's way too expensive, lacks features I'd like, and the kind of gigs I do just don't justify the cost at all. I'm almost positive the improvements in sound would go completely unnoticed by my audience. End of rant. Thank you.

There are certain styles that are obviously written for certain songs, such as Organ Ballad for "Whiter Shade of Pale". but this is the case with other MOTL and TOTL KBs as well ... one thing that kinda struck me funny is that 'Blueberry Beat' sounds nothing like "Blueberry Hill" which I expected it to ...
But it is interesting hearing just the styles with just basic chord changes ...
