That definitely has possibilities! Thanks for posting.

There are times when I would like to have just guitar for backing

I couldn't tell exactly what he was doing with his right hand at times. Also, would the strumming work in conjunction with the style functions; intros, break, endings??

Right hand is changing the different Audio Live Guitar Grooves.... e.g. Ballad strum, Country strum, Pop 12-8, Waltz 3/4, Electric 2, Funk 7 ...etc. As he changes these, he is then playing the chord changes so you see and hear him change the TONALITY/CHORD (with his left hand) of the selected Audio Guitar Grove to picked (with his right hand).

Thanks,

If you like this kind of playing with strums..
The guitar arps on montage work very well for this..
You can assign 8 arps to a guitar and change patterns by the scenes.
If you set the arp to hold off.. you can even play musically with it..

I've done this numerous time using nothing more than multi-pads, triggering the chord changes with the left hand by turning on the accompaniment button, but not actually triggering the associated style file, then turning the left layered voice, which can be strings, choir, etc..., but just enough to enhance the overall quality a bit by adding some fullness, then playing another instrument with my right hand, such as a grand piano. It really works very, very well and provides that subtle atmosphere you wish for some environments, especially when you add some light, quality vocals in the mix.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Donny...those are some pretty decent guitar grooves coming from an arranger keyboard.
Nice find. Say...how much is that SD9 AJ?

Thanks,

your very welcome,......AJ really did a nice demo workshop when we were there a few years ago for the SD7 & Audya regarding Live Guitar strums certain multipads on other arrangers are just OK and work well to a point, But, Ketron can't be beat for live realism .

SD9 approx $4,199.00 for the reg edition,
$4,399.00 for Ajamsonic edition
Call Frank at Audioworks for great prices..

Yes, Gary, I've done the same thing, especially on a few C/W songs ... makes for a nice effect ...

But these SD9 strums are pretty interesting ...

Thank you Gary you are always so complete.

I use pads in the same manner -- it takes the boredom away from a style. There are three assignable buttons on the left side of the Pa4x. I used one to mute the Acc, 1 to 5 – one to mute the Bass, and one to mute the drums.

The assignable buttons and the pads can add a great deal to a song. Not all the musicians in a seven live group play all the time. A piano solo does not sound very good with a brass background. Bass, drums are pads (a strumming guitar) sounds much better. (Opinion)
