Now that I have my heart set on a backup board, I didn't know that the 61 model had no motorized screen (huh?). Does it pop up at all, even manually?

Also, I read somewhere that the keybed is not the same either.

Anyone with information about these (2) items, much appreciated.

Why not get the Pa4x 61 for gigs.....Pa3x for a backup..

Need a mirror image for throwing in a stick and going! None of this map stuff, which takes forever.

Jim, The fact that the Pa3x 61 does not have a motorized screen was a non-issue for me. In my opinion the keybed is the same as the 76 key version.

I have to be REAL careful on selecting a keyboard as I am 5'3".
So, if the fixed location screen is tilted up too far I have to almost mount the keyboard to see the screen well!

I think my PAXPRO was like that (if I am remembering right, or was it the T2??) So I always need to check that out.

I think the S-970 may be an issue?? but no one here has one in stock to try out....so I don't know (Funny too as most Japanese are on the shorter side).

Yes raising the seat helps some but not enough in some cases.

Anyone on the shorter side here have a S-970 and can they tell me about the screen position/readability??

I am down to 5'6" now and have no problem at all seeing the screen on my s970.
