Im not a bit excited about Genos,....
I hope whomever buys one enjoys it,
again I repeat I am quite content with my KORG Pa4x it does everything needed.

I must admit... I really use the tilt screen on the Pa4X. Flat against the body doesn't work. On the Yamaha Motif XF... it was ok to see at the sunken in angle but it wasn't bright enough to overcome a light over the keyboard. I would hope that the Genos sunken in angle and overall brightness of the touchscreen will be just right.

Now let's see the screen with the power on!!!

Hmmm, reminds me a bit of the Pa4x, not exactly but it sure looks like they have taken a page from Korg.

It does, Stephen. Sliders, joystick, touchscreen, position of the data wheel, etc. But the soundtrack on that promo is pretty naff. Is it even a Genos?

Bachus...you know it's what's under the hood that counts. I think your time with the 4X has made you a full fledged Korgie! duel

Korg.....Yamaha

Well, need to say that the pa4x is all an arranger needs, wxcept the assignable knobs, several arps and in my case 88 keys.

On the Genos picture, you can see that yamaha put on the wrong knobs... it should have been encoders... also there will be just a single arp... it should have been 4... and i still domt see any 88 key or modules...

I just found more information about the Genos from a French site. Since I live in Quebec, I will translate it for you all:

"Here's some exclusive information!!!

- The Genos will come in 76 keys exclusively

- The screen is tactile but not inclinable

- The sounds and styles can be chosen from the screen

- No more audio styles, but in their place there will be drum kits of high studio quality

- A real built-in synth with very advanced editing capabilities

- A double sequencer

- Ipad interface and Yamaha applications in Bluetooth

More top functions....but have patience, I will tell you more real soon"

Here's the website: http://fred17.eklablog.com/yamaha-genos-c29430518

Can't wait!

Still looking forward to it!!!

That is weird. A 16 track audio recorder would make more sense.

Although, as I think of it...they might Bluetooth it to Cubasis on iPad!
