To celebrate being back on synth zone I am posting this song.

Just recorded this for one of the on-line keyboard forum challenges. Man, music is good for the soul. I felt like an 18 year old kid in the Wee Beasties all over again.

https://app.box.com/s/q363zpavc4q1q1w9yckqzqtpkfnmuk40

Just stumbled into the 60's R&R style while looking for a good R&B style. I have used this style for Bruce Chanel's "HEY BABY" so was rather surprised that it worked for "MIDNIGHT HOUR". I played the chords with sax and sax section layered.

Blessings,
Don

If your vocals were a bit more horse sounding, you would sound just like Wilson Picket. Great job.

Being as you mention it, here's my rendition from about 10 years ago on my old Korg i30.

Not sure how you put the actual link on here.

Go to the full reply screen and you'll find the insert icon. You must then paste in the share link from Box Net in order for it to work.

you're getting close, but no cigar. It is asking me to log into the site.

Essentially, click on the song you stored on box net. When the song opens to play, look in the upper right corner of the screen and you will see Share. Click that and a box will open with the link that says anyone with this link. Copy the link and paste it in the Synthzone icon that is second to right where you see the blue icon that has a globe. That's all there is to it.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Okay, had another shot at it per your instructions, but it's still not bringing up the same full screen like Korg 80 has showing.

Mine is similar, but has a bunch of my info down the right hand side rather than a full grey screen with the mp3 play button in the centre.

Thank you very much for fixing it, Nigel, I'd never have got there.
Okay folks, have at it. smile

124, one of the best renditions I've heard in years of Mustang Sally. Outstanding job on this one.

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. Just to note, as I mentioned I used an onboard factory style called Memphis on the i30, live style play, and the wife's harmony parts were through a Korg ih harmonizer - that's going back a bit, eh? smile

Used to have a Korg IX 300. It was my first serious arranger keyboard.

I still love Korg and wish I could afford a PA 4X.
