an interesting question...

I've never tried it, this is the opposite of what the program was designed for!

You can certainly open up the tlx file in notepad, and copy and paste the lyrics into a midi file and then save it. But I don't think there is an automatic way, unless you can bring the text back from the database without all the other ascii characters to make it easier to copy?

More interesting questions?

Is it possible with some software, to write lyrics into a Technics sequencerfile?

Not at all Jan, no question is silly or stupid,
and that can't be repeated often enough. If you
don't dare to ask, you won't get any answers
when you really need them, do you?
The need to learn before we know every single
little thing goes for all of us, at least it is
that way for me

NX is Technics' own extended midistandard, just
as Yamaha use XG and Roland use GS. This allow
some more features than standard GM.
If you ask me what is best, I will say that each
standard sounds best in it's ovn brand.
Now Yamaha and Roland speaks about make a common
upgraded standard, and that might be the new GM2,
who i.e. doubble the amount of sounds etc. in the
GM standard table.

Tlx is the format used when add lyrics to the songs
so you can read it on the KN's screen.
kind regards,
GJ

Gunnar's right, as usual. If you don't have a sx6 hard drive, you won't know what we are talking about.

If you have the sx6 hard drive you can convert midi files with lyrics to TLX (technics file format) lyrics which come up full screen with large programmable fonts, a better lyrics screen than the standard view you get from the normal sequencer lyrics screen in the 6000/6500. Also works on upgraded 5000 hard drives, I believe.
