Unfortunately, all but one of my band mates have passed away during the past decade. The only one left spends more time in church praying, than playing. I guess because he's the oldest now, age 80, he figures that his number will be the next to be called. Once in a while, though, I get to jam with my son. Not my kind of music, but we still have lots of fun. Gary

Ian, you're absolutely right. In the studio, time is money. That's why I play all the parts on small budget deals, but really look forward to having a production budget big enough to let a little "creative cooperation" shine thru.
In most cases, my sequenced track would be fine. The decision to use other "live" players has to do with personal satisfaction and final product. I obviously make less on these productions, but this reinforces the product offering. It is, in a way, out of pocket marketing.
And it's fun!
Incidentally, you'd be on the short list of folks I'd like to do a project with.
After the decision on my rotator, I'm going to schedule a project with Chas.
And THAT will GROOVE!
Russ
