Hello
I was lucky enough to get the entire Wikifonia database of 6,675 lead sheets in mxl format. This is over 300 more songs than available on another site. (Wikifonia is no longer in existence.) The file is only about 35mb. Here is the link: http://www.synthzone.com/files/Wikifonia/Wikifonia.zip
You will need to download the free software Musescore to be able to view, transpose, edit, print pdf's etc. You will also be able to write your own songs with Musescore.

I am using the XML Database that was on the Yamaha site, but can't get my Win7 search to pick up any songs there. I am using general search on the bottom left. Is there another way ?

Bernie,
After selecting file open use the search window at the top right. It should already be pointing to the folder that you put the files in. Works fine for me in W7.

UPDATE:
I batch converted over 6000 archived songs of the former Wikifonia Sheets to .PDF Format in alphabetical order, by song title. You can browse /search, and download individual sheets, or download two complete (very large) folders, The .PDF sheets are all in the default key of the creator.
Also, still available are the Wikifonia sheets .XML Format in alphabetical order, by song title, for editing in programs such as MuseScore (free)

Hi Scott,
Musescore is a fascinating program. I have used it very little and it has been some time since I have used it. If I am correct you can download a midi file and it will print out the parts. Is this correct? If so, I have done sizable arrangements on the KN7000 keyboard. Is there a way to get these arrangements into the computer and Musescore print the parts? It sounds very involved for a program to do this. This of course if it is possible.

Yes, Musescore will not only print out the parts from a midi file it will also play them on your computer. I move midi files from my keyboard to the computer using a usb thumb drive. I don't know if the KN7000 had usb. If not, you will have to look in your manual or check on the Technics discussion to see how to transfer files to computer. It may be that you use an SD card to transfer.
Once the file is on your computer just open the file.

Thanks, Scott.
WOW! What a program! I have a great set-up with my KN7000. I transfer everything to a BR-900CD, which is a digital 64 track recorder. It has a built-in CD burner. I can take the burned CD and put it in my computer and file it. I am assuming that will create a midi file--right? If so, I will have to figure out how to use Musescore to print out the parts. Thanks, again.

Since I am not that familiar with the KN7000 I think it a good idea to go to the Technics Discussion here and find out how to create, find and transfer a midi file. Then go to File on the upper left on Musescore and open the file. Once it's up go to File and then print.
If the data you are trying to work with on your keyboard is anything but a midi file then you can not convert that. You can't convert a wav, mp3 file for example to midi. It must be recorded in midi on your keyboard.

Scott, thanks but........ :(( :(( :((
I have created all original arranging on the KN7000. It is not a form of midi. I will check out the Technics forum but it is such a dead forum today. Hardly anyone posts. From what you have said I doubt I can do it. Very odd though. I know nothing about midi because I don't use other people's ideas but it seems that midi is a recorded file and since I have done the arrangement recorded, it seems that I could file it like a midi. As you suggested, I will contact the Technics forum.

A Midi file is simply a set of instructions telling the keyboard what notes to play. It is not recorded music. You can of course record (create) a midi file, but it will not do anything if not connected to a sound source.

A Technics midi file and a general midi file are the not same because of some of the commands and instruments. However, you can load a Technics midi file in your Kn7000, then save it as a general midi file. I think I have that right. (smile)
Scott absolutely fantastic, just down loaded it many thanks for posting it the scores look great, trust you are well
