HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD RUMORS THAT ANOTHER DRIVE CAN BE PURCHASED WITH MORE CAPACITY(ROLAND WON'T ADMIT TO THIS)THAN THE INTERNAL 2.1 GIG, AND I'VE ALSO HEARD THERE IS A CD BURNER/WRITER (MADE BY JVC?) THAT WILL WORK WITH THE ROLAND AS WELL AS PERSONAL RECORDINGS(ROLAND WOULD NEVER ADMIT TO THIS!).IF ANYONE CAN HELP W/A MOD.# I'D APPRECIATE IT!

Poke your nose over here and do a search on "drive expansion" you should be able to find a number of good articles on which 3rd party drives work well.

Chris,
I tried to do a "search" on vsplanet but the option was disabled. Any ideas?

That's odd...It should be available to anyone, registered or not. Maybe it was down for a bit? I just ran over there a second ago, and it worked fine...

The Search function doesn't work for me either. I have a VS-Series Compatible Media Guide that I downloaded from RolandUS a few months ago. There are a lot of compatible drives listed. It has FAXBACK #21032 at the bottom. Just tried to find the url and failed. Roland has recently reworked their site. But, they should be able to help by phone.

Found the Roland US address for the compatible media guide. It is: http://209.144.99.253/sdd.asp?id=r1_12_2_5
Look under Supplemental Notes.
