I'm new to HD recorders. Have played arranger type KB's for years. Want something to record myself with vocals and be able to transfer to CD when complete. Would the Fostex FV-08 be the best for this purpose? Taking into consideration cost and ease of use(I have seen it on the web for $595.00)
Thanks

Hi..I have a Fostex VF08...and I paid $699 for it...now its much cheaper...only thing is that u can record two tracks at a time..other than that, I think is very easy to use and worth the price..nice thing is the 5.1 gig HD also has phantom power for conderser mic and has lots of effects...I have made some music on it using my IS40 Korg keyboard and burn cd's using my puter's cdr..if u want to hear a couple of tracks I did..check out my site at: http://www.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Rube/
The track " MY Samba and Besame" I did with the Fostex mixer...the others I did with Mgix Music Maker and Dance Ej...I do latin music mostly...anything I can help u with,,feel free to email me at
nrube@hotmail.com
I have this mixer since mid Jan and I've been making tracks like crazy...
regards..Rube:-)
