I get pops/clicks in to the sound (audio) when I record. Also playback has
this problem. I think that midi causes this problem. If I mute all
miditracks everything works fine, but if I use miditracks I get those
pops/clicks. For midi there is Midiman Midisport 4x4 USB and for audio
M-Audio Delta 44. What may cause this kind of problem.

Thanx in advance (sorry about my english)

Had a similar problem with USB midi (startes with emagic mt4(4x4) then roland 4x4 .It was something to do with my selfish yet pleasant sounding lexicon audio card and my Via apollo chipset went to a midiman internal Pci midi card problem fixed (incidently its fine with my MOTU parellel port as well .Hope USB wont give me grief if I upgrade to Logic audio 5 (USB Dongle/Key thing).

I read a very in depth article in Recording Magazine last night. It's extremely important to ensure all midi devices are synced exaxtly the same. The slightest deviation from this will produce those clicks and pops.

Hi,
Your english is perfect so don't worry about that !
I assume you are using a PC with recording software ?
If yes it is extremely important to :
a. set DMA-access of all your HD-devices to ON
b. disable 'background' programs.
c. disable taskmanager.
d. be sure the audio-devices do NOT share IRQ's (interupts) not even PCI IRQ sharing

This will solve the problems in 90% of all cases...... please let us know.

kind regards from Holland.
