Hi.I just joined here.I'm looking for advice on adding new equipment to my home studio.I'm from South Australia. And,g'day to the other Aussies here.

I have the following equipment:
Roland RD700SX stage piano.
Roland KC350 amp.
Tascam DP03 8 track digital recorder.
Sansai XLR mic.

Its just ideal for home use.Now I'm looking for a sound module to improve the variety of pianos and electric piano sounds on the Roland.I miss the Fender Rhodes sound I had on an old 76 note kawai.

I'm open to suggestions.I only want a sound module not an extra keyboard. All my equipment is set up in my loungeroom.

Thanks.

Chris.

Can't help with advice but welcome.
I'm in Urunga(coffs harbour)and always looking for fellow players.
Your equipment sounds interesting.
Mine is korg pa3x, yam psr710 and a old kn6000.I have a xenyx 802 for mics and run sonar and powertracks.
Leave a message if you want to converse and I'll send email.
Also, karmathan ever (Pete) is online sometimes.

Hi Baz.

Nice to know there are a few other Aussies here.
My equipment is the best I could afford considering I dont play professionally.I just wanted the best I could afford. It sits on 1 side of the loungeroom in my 2 bedroom flat. The computer is in the bedroom because I havent got any more room in the lounge.Havent had any complaints even with the 120W amp.

Chris.
I guess I'm lucky then.
I have a dedicated music/computer room and it's packed.
My wife has one of her computers there plus mine plus a two tier stand for the KBs
She also has heaps of gear for her hobby on shelves.
I bought both KBs in 13. First the yam 710 which wasn't challenging enough.
I saw the korg in march and haven't looked back since. The VH is amazing as is the ability to edit any sound.
I would still be a little jealous of your piano tho.
I looked it up and it's quite an instrument.

Hi baz.How's your electricity bill?

I keep looking around for other pianos.Just can't afford one though.Just have to add a module.

I got spoilt with the Roland though. Its been 9 years since I bought and I love it.It helped me improve.Started using the inbuilt drum machine in it about 5 years ago.I miss the fender rhodes sound I had on the old Kawai.I was playing some music files of my old recordings and I realised how much I have to have that sound.Thats when I started looking into it.

I will add some photos of my previous digital pianos if i can figure out how to upload photos again.

No use worrying about elec these days. There's only one way it's going.
You seem to say you are a pianist first. That's great. So was I.
If you do upgrade or add, The pa900 or pa3x will still keep that going. Both have some beaut pianos and excellent drum kits.
Also a lot is available.
I'd suggest a yammie but a bit pricey.
Don't think you can get the T5 yet but it will be 5grand plus.
