Hi. I am guitar player and use QBase 3.7 on my computer to record. i have a digitech studio S100 effects prosessor and turtle beach sound card. all this goes in and out of an eight channel board, into a yamaha 2500 pa amp. what i want to do is add either a keyboard or computer program to create midi accompniment for back up tracks. this is all new to me. does anyone have any ideas?

There are a lot of possibillities here.
It all depends how you want to create your accomp..;

If you want ready to go styles for accomp., go for an arrangerkeyboard or module.

Or software like BIB (band in a box)

If you want to create each track yourselve you need in hardware;
a drummachine
a keyboard with good soundbanks

or software based as very cheap alternative;
The Musical Wizzard (MidiBrainz)
cheap and all instruments can be chosen and
all pattern based.
From the patterns you create a song, and the song can be exported to GM or GS midi.

There are a lot more software based programs, but to my knowledge the MidiBrainz software is the only pattern based software which works very fast!
