[quote=Dreamer]To display music sheet, reading books, listening music and watching pictures or movies the tablet with the best price/performance ratio right now is the new Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 sold by Amazon.

What Music Display App is available for the Kindle? ?

Thanks

All my music sheet are in pdf format and thus can be read by Adobe Acrobat, whose Reader version is free and extremely common in the Windows world; I am no Kindle expert, but Amazon is the greatest world seller of e-books (available also in PDF format), so their own tablet has to have an app for reading them already installed.
I intend to buy a Fire HDX 8.9 after Xmas, taking advantage of the first special offer by Amazon (they will no doubt make one, once the initial buying frenzy is over) and in the meantime will read the initial impressions by the first actual users.
I am in no hurry since I already own two Dell: a desktop with a 27" HD monitor and a 17" laptop, where I run applications like sequencers, editors for my keyboards, etc... all things I would have problems using on a tiny 8.9" screen, so the tablet would be actually a luxury and I would use it just for quickly finding a particular music sheet.

Are any of these devices capable of running software that outputs the notes as MIDI, in a "follow the bouncing ball" kind of way? Or failing that, can either of them display MIDI notes generated by a sequencer sync'd in real time sync to the master clock?

IMO the Clavinova and the Tyros already have an excellent system for displaying music for "play-along." I'm not good at sight reading and sometimes I have trouble "reading ahead." Turning the page by hand is a guaranteed mistake or late note. So yes, I'm very interested in a system like this!

Ted,
please use the above link about the Music apps for Kindle Fire: on the Amazon site there are 53 pages, each with 48 apps; that makes a total of about 2500 apps, just for music.
I am sure that at least one of them will do what you need.

Yes I know there are several, frankly too many to conduct an exhaustive survey. I posted because I was hoping that you, or someone else on the Forum could recommend a specific app or device from experience, that does what I'm asking for. That is to say, one that does the same thing the Tyros score viewer does, but with a larger screen, in a stand-alone device.
Thanks again,
Ted
