There you are.... all the inspiration you need is to be had in even a MOTL modern arranger!

It's the player, not the gear...

Him on absolutely anything out there would make it sound like the best thing ever! Mad skills! Put me down as a fan.

Thanks Frans for these great videos, this guy is amazing.

I can imagine the music in the first video being used as a film

sound track. THE PA600 sounds very professional, this guy

pushes it to the limit.

Great playing !! Any idea whats the first song he played in the first video ?

I think players like these make use of the keyboard`s editing ability to sound stunning just like the real instruments !!

It just shows what a little creativity and enthusiasm can do to make a performance sound outstanding. What was funny was listening to the Jordan rudess demonstration that followed. He was playing the korg Kronos and compared to the korg PA 600 the Kronos sounded thin , the drums lifeless and the whole presentation left me asking the question to myself "so what ?"

Does he play only Latin styles? All I'm trying to say is even the Jazz I prefer even if it was with the greatest musicians of any particular style after the 295th tune I'd even be sick of the jazz I prefer.

"There I've Said It Again."

Indeed, what a great use of this little nice keyboard!

The song is the theme from movie Gladiator, great soundtrack!

Thanks Adimatis.

I knew I had heard it but could not remember where smile

Truely great players always get the best of every instrument whether its a BOTL or a TOTL. Inspires us to make full use of what we already have rather than want more.

What a monster player. Geez where does one even start to get to that level of playing ability? Just when I think I'm making progress, I realize I've only scratched the surface. I've been playing for 50 years and am always blown away with what this marvelous technology is capable of in the hands of a skilled musician.

Until now, I was not even aware of Marco Parisi. WOW!

How inspirational.

Boo, try a search of Marco Parisi on You tube. On a brief look I saw a Hammond performance with Sr. and Jr. Parisi.

Everything by Marco is latin or Funk which is similar. It's choppy is one way is can be categorized.

Swing uptempo is fast and smooth and usually doesn't linger on the same cord very long. It keeps moving like it is going somewhere and just not lingering in one spot.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy Latin and Funk to an extent. However, I prefer one who can play and move in any direction and not just a driving force through the whole tune on 4, 5, or 6 chords. It's just not as musical and get monotonous. It's like more of how many licks they can hit on one chord which is an art in itself, but it just doesn't turn me on as much.

Uptempo swing is a dying trade just like brickwork and covered wagons. It's seen it day. Go spend a night listening to the Glen Miller band or the Tommy Dorsey band when it's near your town. If you can't appreciate it, you might want to get your ears checked. LOL!!!

Not everything he does is funk or Latin. He does a lot of cover versions too. What do you think of this one? http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwrel&v=HPhAdufAxY0

Not impressed compared to previous postings, It lacks expression and doesn’t really flow, however that is the worst Piano Patch I have heard for donkey’s years so it may not be the players fault. (It’s certainly not a good advertisement for the player or keyboard though)

Got to learn to listen THROUGH the gear, when you evaluating the man...

The playing was exceptional. The 'sound' was a bit suspect...

The reverse is also true (but harder to achieve!). When listening to gear, you have to try to ignore a really bad presenter, or a really good one, for that matter bow and try to simply listen to the gear, and think what YOU might be able to achieve with it.

Lord knows how much money so many of us might have saved, had we done these!
