If I install a hard drive to my KETRON? but has no memory pattern, I need to install? or not needed?

the pattern of expansion memory is used by Ketron SD5, adding new patterns, this has 2mb

You don't need to install ... if you only want to have instant access to about 20-30 (depending on complexity and size) styles at a given time.

Installing the 2MB Pattern Expansion give you access to about 70-80 of such styles.

On the SD5 - as AJ says - you don't need to have extra pattern memory to make use of the styles preloaded on the hard drive - but you will need to use what ram you do have to load styles into. The same is true of X, XD and other SD series and the spin offs (like SX3000 etc). The Audya styles stream from the hard drive so pattern ram is not required.
