& Monday Memorial Day an Outdoor Pool Party w/ Military Patriotic Armed Forces veterans ceremony.....happy Holiday everyone!!

I am but they aren't really "Memorial Day" themes. Tonight I doing a birthday party at a restaurant and Monday I'm doing a NH in which I always play the last Monday of the month. The NH is also a birthday party for all the residents that celebrate their birthday during the month but I should look into throwing in some patriotic songs too.

Most summer holidays I play for private parties at a lake house on Caddo Lake. Lots of food and beverages under a breezy awning overlooking the lake. They treat me like one of the family and I look forward to the parties. I can get my Country Music fix!
I will start about 2 and play until everybody gets tired. Then I will try to leave in time to catch SemiLive's "Hoot", about halfway between the lake and home.

Memorial Day service for a retirement community on Monday at 11 a.m., then off to the boat to watch the fireworks from the water.

For 20 years or so, on Labor day and Memorial Day, I play in my home town for a "whole town" gathering. There are booths, a parade, lots of food vendors, and a tent sponsored by the Mayor's office. that's where they hide me. Then, they have a reception afterward at a local restaurant. I play there, too. then, back to Lexington (40 miles) for my regular 4 night job...this time, just off the last hole of the golf course. There's a holiday tournament.

During the day, I'll use 5 different set-ups.


I finish up in the bar until about 1:00 AM.

Man, at my age, I'm glad to have the work.

Family Picnic...everyone plays, sings, dances, or whatever... before and after the annual wiffle ball game.
