I have been given the opportunity to play at my church and I need Praise and Worship styles.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you, John C.

I use a variety of styles for P and W. The key is to decide on a song and then find a style that works for it. I also use an equal amount of backing mp3's as well. There are several sites that offer backing mp3's, one being www.interactiveworshiplive.com. By using these files and a software program like Ableton you can do the same thing as an arranger keyboard would do in a worship setting.

Hope that helps,

Jeff

Hi Bruno and Jeff, I'm just wondering why you would need specific styles for praise and worship music? Can't you just draw from current pop styles? Sorry, I don't mean to be rude at all- I'm just curious.

Hi Montunoman, You ask a fair question -- P & W styles have a different flavor; and yes many of my styles could do the job but they leave something to be desired.

Thanks for posting, John C

Hi John,
I converted a couple of my PSR 1500 styles across to PA800, if they're of any use to you. Worship Power Bld & Worship Slow. Also did a couple of BIAB conversions, one's a bit of a piano ballad, the others a real up temp style called Uplift.

How useful they are, wouldn't have a clue as it's not something I play, i just did them for someone.

I've done a few conversions, not sure if I've offered them before. I used to have a site for downloads & I didn't use it for a while so my stuff dissapeared. So can't remember whether you got access or not.

Just email & let me know where to send if they're of any use.

I don't use special styles for worship, I use the factory presets for most of the songs. Like I said, there are some songs that do have a unique sound or flavor and for those I use the MP3's from the couple of sites.

First check if your pa is Christian. Some of them are Jewish or Muslim.
I saw one that was half way to Buddism. So,you never know. The thing is they all come from same place.Played differently, they all sound different. But,it's all music which is most important here.

1-In general I use a lot of ballads, country , slow rock and latin styles available already in PA800 for praise and worship.

2-You can convert some christians midi songs to styles by using the free EMC converter available from korgpa.com.

3-Finally, rikkisbears have some very nice, slow tempo styles that I use too.
