My Arranger vs. Workstation took an interesting turn of events....

Met a guy 3 months ago in Guitar Center who overheard me looking for a Triton Extreme....Said he had one he might let go....he doesn't want to hassle people coming to his house.....didnt want to hassle Craigs list

I finally called him and I will go see it this week......I said I wanted to pay $400-$500....he said how about $600....I said I have half of that now....

Here's our deal, providing it's in good condition...

KORG Triton Extreme $600

$300 down, take keyboard home $150 in 2 weeks, $150 more 2 weeks later......

Many of you felt Workstaion is the way I should go for my Original Music on my other thread.....I can always buy a drum machine later.....

Should I jump on this deal?

Hi Steve
maybe ask the question on the Korg forums, they may have an idea of what they're worth, if no one here can help.

Yes, good deal.Pay 500-550.

Much better than M50(crappy keys and interface).
Have sampling, will play songs from USB or CF card directly.

Acoustic sounds are OK and also have Sax from PA1x.(Triton classic does'nT).Better piano than classic.

Touch screen/ribbon controller -better for sequencing compared to MOX6 (MOX6 piano/Ac sounds are better though).

Xtreme Will also retain the value, since it's the best (has all cards from Triton studio) and lightest (except Le) of tritons with decent keys.

Remeber it's not an arranger, but will play comercially avalible drum loops ( including) fills the way you want. Also comes with drum patterns. 96 MB total sample time (16 bit) but more than enough drum loops for a song.

JamMan....

I'm watching the DVD video now...(I used one for 4 weeks about 5 years ago and I can see I was barely scratching the surface) The template drum patterns is enough to get me going.

I'm so excited, I hope this piece is in good shape....Gonna drive about 70 miles tomorrow to check it out.....

Also the me & the wife are gonna use our tax return money for a computer.....So I guess I will be doing computer sooner, rather than later..

I know the Keybed is better on the KORG than the MOX6....I really wasn't impressed with the MOX6. The OS of the KORG Triton Extreme is something I'm at least familiar with...the sequencer is straightforward...

120 Polyphony.....

The guy is the original owner, so I'm hoping he kept it in good shape....

Craigslist Los Angeles shows 4 Extremes for sale, the cheapest Extreme is $1000......
