The was very well done, but he did not seem to use the attachable speakers when playing. Loved it though.

Please enlighten me on why this is any better sounding then the previous Pa2x pro?...Yes it's good to an extent, but in all honesty in no way a mind blowing improvement in sound & styles IMO? Feature wise I give Korg a +1......otherwise some old PAish arranger.
I'm disappointed by All these demos so far...maybe my thoughts will change when & if I ever get a chance to find one and actually play it myself..

Thanks Donny. I have one on order. I expect it the end of the month. I did sell my PA500 today so I am without keyboard at the moment.

I have to agree with you, Donny...this demo, although a tad better than what we've already seen, only appears to confirm that the PA3Xpro isn't much of an improvement over the PA2Xpro.

I can see in Frans's case, where he is going from a PA-500 to a PA3Xpro...that is like going from a PSR-S710 to a Tyros3...there will be substantial differences, considering the instruments are at completely different levels in the product line.

Hey, if someone thinks they sound great and better, that's fine with me...as we always agree, sound is subjective, but I really can't hear much difference sonically between PA2Xpro and PA3Xpro from the posted demos.

Yes, definitely more features, but, I can't see (hear) where there is a markedly improved sound, and, in fact, this is supported by several long term Korg users, some of which feel the instrument is actually a step backwards sonically.

Maybe with better demos, or, as you say, actually playing one through a good set of speakers or headphones will change people's minds.

For Korg's sake, I hope so.

The demo was very good. I haven't yet heard one with good quality sound that demonstrates some of the music I would be playing though.

I too both enjoyed the guy's playing and music, but I honestly don't hear much (if any) sonic improvement over the PA2X.
Would be interesting & revealing to hear a direct PA2X and PA3X played side by side.
FransN, I can see now why you're so excited now upgrading from the PA500 to PA3X. I know you are going to LOVE the PA3X.
In addition to the many new features and sounds, it's TC helicon VH & new chord sequencer are a terrific asset.
I can't wait till you finally get it and hope you record and share your music created on it for us. - Scott cool

Yep, it will be quite a jump from the PA-500, with all those extra sounds, styles and features.

I'm betting Frans can put up a better demo of the PA3Xpro than what we've been hearing so far.

A demo from me?

I don't think so.

Nice video, very good player, and it seems like a great board, but will we ever see a Pax3 Video of someone playing standards, or 50's, 60's and 70's?

Would love to hear Peg Of My Heart, All I Have To Do Is Dream, Stairway To Heaven, Sentimental Journey, or anything similar... nothing elaborate, something simple, so I can hear what I, and perhaps many [most?] players on this forum play.

Anyway appreciate the video link, just not my 'style'

Actually, the Tyros4 was very well received, and I have read or heard very little negativity about it. The percentage of totally satisfied users is very high, indeed.

The Tyros3 was criticized much more, and perhaps it had as much to do with the way the instrument was launched, as well as the issues that early users found (that were completely eradicated with OS updates).

The "negativity" about the PA3Xpro is mostly due to Korg's seeming reluctance to produce a professional grade demo...I'm sure they must be able to find an arranger player at least nearly as good to demo as Martin Harris with the great number of PA-series that we are told were sold.

The PA3Xpro may be a much finer arranger than we are seeing...so why the hesitancy(?) on the part of Korg to showcase this allegedly impressive instrument?

It does not make sense.

Frans,

You don't have to post here, if you feel uncomfortable, but I, for one, would love to hear you play, and would be very interested in how it sounds.

You could send it to me privately.

This point Ian raised got me thinking. What are we all using for monitoring the audio from You Tube videos? Do you have a good set of speakers or headphones attached?

I have several systems available, inlcuding my KA20 speakers which I use for listening to my keyboards and organ etc. However, having played and recorded a few videos now, don't think the sonic audio quality is nearly as good once the sound has been compressed and uploaded to You Tube. Even HD recordings don't sound the same as either the live play, or playing back the video directly on your own computer (uncompressed)

It may seem an obvious thing to say, but many of us seem to be basing our complete opinion of a product on a few You Tube videos.

I keep saying it, go to your dealers and try the kit out. You will never get a better chance to hear what it is actually like to play with doing so.

Yes you are right and I told that on the Korg forum if you want to compare the T4 with the PA3x you must put them side by side using the same PA system.

Youtube videos I always listen with my sony headphones.

John, I am using very high quality speakers (with a good sub) on my computer.

It appears those who are demoing the PA3Xpro, are fine players in their own right, but they do not seem to be "arranger" players.

That's what I do not understand...they should have a player familiar with these instruments.

This was one of the first and worst Pa3x demos ever offered online after the NAMM show months ago and actually if I remember the one that started all the bad controversy about this unit. IN no way should this person be demoing an arranger. Top Class? I don't get it sorry.

OK, I think I've found the first decent PA3x Video on You Tube - It's in French "Sacre' Bleu" but the sound is pretty decent. Check it out for yourselves and see what you think.

There are so many ways to get a decent sound on video ,I don't understand why they don't use it .

I enjoyed the sampling segment, something I really haven't explored. Shame we didn't get to see/hear the harmoniser explored in depth by getting cut off at the end of the video.
